There are already rumours about them dating before they are into relationship. So when they actually confirm it later, everyone is already over with being surprised.

They had sex at the end of volume 2. Her parents likely know, because he did asks for their permission before taking her out for private trip. The other boys in class also know, because they saw the scratch mark she left on his back when they went to school trip (volume 3).

As for personality, he is really giving his effort to be a good boyfriend to her, even with Shino being a needy girlfriend who gets jealous easily.

There's a trap who works part time with Sandai in the aquarium. It's more like a time bomb with no progress, and seeing his personality, he would most likely just reject her because he got a girlfriend.

I think it's like a response towards people who wants a faster PROGRESS™ in their romcom ^^;;
I forget what period the story is (early in the year, or after summer vacation) but it did skips time when things get repetitive, so it actually took time.

This is a web novel adaptation after all. They experiment with tropes recipe and chase trends.
