Didnt expect to end like that... i mean, it surely wasnt enough time for Rin to get properly over her trauma but still... it had everything for a more wholesome ending after so much angst and drama. Normally would be a bunch of flowers with white angelic backgrounds and caring eyes with a monologue about how they'd love each other forever or similar, instead was all really dark and worrisome. Really unnecessary. Oh well... they do end together with mutual feelings and theres a chance Rin would get over it somwhere in the future, maybe?

sometimes lesbians are shitty and evil, and while I wouldn’t want to date one in real life I don’t hate seeing in fiction

I'm not quite sure what to make of this story. While I found it interesting to read, I struggled to grasp the logic presented in the narrative, which felt very Japanese to me.

Momoka's character was quite unlikable and often behaved in a reprehensible manner. Her use of the blond woman to intentionally hurt Rin's feelings was incredibly cruel and selfish. Despite Rin's expressions of desire and affection, Momoka continued the relationship solely to inflict pain on her. It was petty and hurtful, especially considering that Rin needed time to develop their relationship. Pushing her into having sex so early on was unfair and disrespectful. If Momoka had shown more patience and understanding, she could have achieved her goals without permanently damaging the relationship. However, as is often the case in these types of manga, the logic behind characters' actions can be quite unique and far from normal human behavior.

In real life, Rin would likely have ended the relationship with Momoka, as her behavior was beyond pale. Momoka did not deserve a happy ending, given the harm she caused to others.

It feels like the story isn't over, like it's just halfway through and we need to work to some resolution. Because a toxic relationship isn't a ever after, happily or no. They end, or mend. These two have good loving supportive parents and friends, no way in hell someone doesn't act in some kind of intervention.

Rin deserved someone WAAAAAY better. I could not like Momoka. I don't mind the relationship being toxic til it had the cheating.

Am I supposed to feel sympathy for Momoka? Honestly, she seemed like a horrible person, and they should never have ended up together in the end. The whole "putting herself first" angle was just weird. Her love felt empty, and that relationship would never last in real life. I feel sorry for Rin. She is stuck with a person that can leave her the moment she does not get what she wants.

Thanks for the translation!

What an interesting story. I do wish there was a more wholesome ending. It feels like Midorisawa becoming yandere at the end comes out of left field and is kinda forced? I guess I can see that it could be that she has resolved her relationship issue but not her past trauma. Maybe if we had another volume or two we could have seen a satisfying resolution to the story, or maybe this was just the story that the author wanted to tell.

I'm not sure if I missed a chapter or my reading comprehension is terrible, but how exactly is Momoka such a villain to everyone here? She gave up on her love with Rin, dates other people, still feel empty. Rin is pissy over Momoka acting that way, despite as Momoka says, she is not doing anything that terrible and her dating life is her own business. Rin accept a deal to replace the boyfriends, but doesnt actually live up to it and it's a oneway street with Momoka putting in effort, which Rin says later on it always have been that way. Momoka pushes the envelope with the hotel scenario, but at this point Rin is also being unfair. Rin cannot fufill the lovers part, It is a superficial relationship, and Momoka says it's a done deal then. She then starts being FwB with blondie, because they both are trying to find someone to ease the loneliness and superimpose their crushes onto eachother.

Did Momoka get a FwB and ignore her to punish Rin, sure that was definitely a part of it, but also she had the right to be with anyone at that point if she wanted to. Ignoring Rin just meant they were back to the status quo they had earlier which Rin started mind you. There is nothing wrong with Momoka wanting to move on. To me Rin was just incredibly selfish throughout the entire story, and definitely a bigger issue than Momoka, but I assume I got the reading comprehension of a wet noodle, because everyone disagree.

I am not hating on Rin, girl got issues and for obvious reason, but I just feel like pushing all the hate onto Momoka's character is out of place.

Momoka's parents are nice though. Sorry for the rant :nyoron:

Honestly this ending left a bitter taste in my mouth. Didn't like how the ending end. Rin lost that shine in her eyes completely... she began to lose it when her mother left them and It explain her characteristic on the whole series. But because of Momoka she had those times where she shine a big smile and momoka also made her lose it. Their relationship would probably end up getting tighter and tighter, both suffocating them in the process. If they like it then good for them. But whats with that? They lose all their friend who potentially be their helping hand in the end also the friend who helped Rin?

Losing everybody just to maintain their relationship is a big no no. The Toxicity in here is a whole other level.

Rationaly they could have a different start if momoka could just be honest and tell her she love rin from the start.
Easy said and done, I know but. Seeing rin, she is the type of girl who needs to hear it than ambitiously make her realize. Specially she cannot discern what love is. She doesn't have a mother. So how could she identify if the love and care that was given by momoka to her was love of with so called "Romantic affection"? when she haven't experienced mother loved that well. And her traits probably came from her dad.

I don't think this gonna have a second season.

Still Props to the author for making this.
I was frowning the whole time! reading it! 😂 basically questioning all my life decisions! ahahah

I'm just hoping for my desired happy ending but here we are, It didn't happen.
