until these two chapters, the majority conflict has been between personal and professional lives.Funny how the analysis of what is 'bad' for Io revolves around how it affects her job. Capitalism babyyyy
True if her manager is removed it would remove many problems. But I feel like she’d still have many restraints as long as she’s famous and the more popular she becomes, so her in a relationship with Misa wouldn’t work out….This isn't even toxic anymore, this is downright abusive. Io's not able to say "no" because she's been an industry where saying "no" is not even an option so she's been essentially raised? groomed? to be a bit of a doormat. But she's really stuck between a rock and a hard place unless someone can remove her manager from the position. Misa is like a lesser of two evils kind of thing but unless they both evaluate how their relationship would be, it's not going to be beneficial for either party.
Manager Hase has clearly let her power over Io get to her head. But how she views Io is like Misa said, "a pet", which is a bit more dehumanizing than being Misa's "sexfriend".
But what do I know? I'm just saying things.
Because Japan society? Have you ever read how the workplace of an average salaryman is? Or Japanese society in general. Speaking out is a not the norm. I translate that in not really saying what you mean. If you grow up in an environment like that you're bound to be passive as fuck. Though yeah, it is indeed extremely annoying. Doesn't help that Io is hardcore into being a sub... 🤣Meh. I love toxic yuri, but why does the MC always have to be a boring doormat? It's just annoying.
