In another kind of story, with another kind of character, this protaognist would be the most dangerous menace that any world could face. An almost unkillable sentient virus that not only possesses the hosts he infects, but also learns new abilities and powers each time he does it.

Okay. This is bad on so many levels, and not in a fun way. You can be completely absurd or wrong with science and still be fun. But this? This is absolutely terrible for anyone who has at least highschool level of mico-biology.
And its not even virus or unique anymore, its basically just another Isekai monster ability stealing one, that has been done to death. There were sooooooooooooooo many better ways to do this, and still have it accurate with science.

I'm not angry because its a generic isekai, I'm angry because I came expecting an actual virus, but instead I just got generic monster isekai.

I gave it a chance, but it failed. I'm out. Peace yall.

I may come back and read the comments after 1 year, but 100% chance that it will just turn into generic isekai with a bland MC with a japanese savior coplex.
