does Sabbath in this manga actually has any meaning, like some kind of black magic ritual? Or it's just indirect way of "I want to make love with you" without anything else implied?

It's basically when they pour magic power via an exchange in bodily fluids... wait, wrong series.

Eleanor is perfect, I can only see good points on her on every chapter she appears.

@Diciannove44 It was say on early chapters that is the mean to get close relationships between black mages AND to transfer knowledge of spells between them.

@Onsokumaru I can't tell if you're joking but wanting a kid doesn't make someone a tradwife. She wants to open and run her own business, not just be a stay at home mom. Hell even being a stay at home mom doesn't automatically make someone a tradwife.
Also if my memories of the details of this manga are correct, it's far from anti-communist. I wouldn't say it's pro communist either, it is far closer to promoting socialist ideals that anything else.

Again, if this was a poe's law misunderstanding feel free to just ignore this lmao.

Old comment... I was exaggerating for a joke, but...
Unfortunately in a world where feminists are competing who will have more abortions, wanting a child became a #tradwife thing now.
Her own business, yes, but it's cooking, so it is #tradwife.
"being a stay at home mom doesn't automatically make someone a tradwife" - That does not compute... you can't get more #tradwife than that. You should read and watch some Thomas Sowell.
The manga itself was always for capitalism, but Koolio kept influencing the translations and lying to make it look the opposite. Fortunately we got Varrel.

This manga is pretty clearly anti-late-capitalism, I have no idea how you could be getting it being pro-capitalism.
People today tend to not want kids as often because they have no way to take care of them, not because they're feminists wtf. When both you and the person you're with have to work full time+ just to afford food and housing, it makes it a little difficult to have a kid while being able to give it the time a kid requires. The constant need to be working is also the main reason why Japan has a birthrate problem, and as you may know, Japan on average holds pretty traditional values, although many people to day are starting to break free from that mentality.
Being a stay at home mom doesn't automatically make someone a tradwife. A stay at home mom can still hold non-traditional views and practices that tradwives don't. The term tradwife refers to an entire mentality beyond just being a homemaker.

Wow, an Umineko reference. I really loved that VN, though Kinzo's idea of desire is pretty extremely fucked up, even by manga standards.

He should marry Eleanor and they can be a black mage couple and family. Just because you have a kid or a restaurant doesn't mean you can't also study black magic, especially if your husband does it professionally.

But that would put the manga into a forbidden area of Japanese content called "wholesome marriage" and "having a child" which to my knowledge doesn't happen in 99+% of manga. Tonikaku may be breaking the mold with marriage in manga but it's only one among a sea.

So why doesn't she make a Black Magic Restaurant?
Best of both worlds. Problem solved.
Heck, she could just spawn kids endlessly with Franz and get Imps to do all the hard work in the restaurant.
