My dude,majority of anthropomorphic characters are based off of :

1. Decades,if not centuries old,concepts/objects in real life.

2. Fictional lore about concepts/objects that can easily be millenniums in either direction.

3. A new trend that is barely a day old.

Being a little lass with a thinly armoured ass is irrelevant to her age.

But it also has the potential for bigger,older designs to made into more mature females.
