To be frank, there are millions of series elsewhere that need translating, so why snipe from a group that you haven't even contacted in the first place? If it were any other series that hadn't been updated in years, then sure, I'd be grateful for a translation; this one was actively being completed by a group, and a high-quality one at that. I'm pretty sure the reason why many people don't like l1v is because of them just taking over series without any prior notice, which would kind of be like "Hey, just gonna take this series you've been working on for months! Zephyr holds series hostage and doesn't communicate with anyone and it's on the scanlator who picks it up to communicate?

Again, Zephyr is still translating Foxes Always Lie when l1v is caught up with it.

Why are these rules only applying to l1v? They took it cause it's on chapter 93 in the raws and a lot of people wanna read it. It wasn't even personal.

And again, people don't like l1v because they're "told" that. If you actually look with your own eyes you'll see l1v does not do that. JustKorra and Zephyr hate l1v cause for personal reasons that make no sense.

Since you asked for it: wild words font for everything under the sun. Regardless of context, the series, the art, the theme, dialogue or narration, thoughts or small text. For fox, nothing beyond basic stroke and color overlay for SFX, which is still wild words. Wrong translation, missed context, etc. Character A refers to character B, they translate it as referring to character C. For dog, no effort made to match your editing to the raws beyond 'readable'. Colored stroke becomes white stroke. Word for word translation that makes no sense when read. That 'Declares' SFX wrongly translated, random -- in bubbles that exist fine in Chinese text but not in English grammar? These things that are just grammatically wrong ?... ?--, etc.

And maybe communicate the misunderstanding about Foxes Always Lie - since you never did and you can just look at the page and see who posted the intro chapter and made the page.

I have hope for you. I like your stuff and there's no reason for this needless drama in the community. But you have to make an effort instead of just getting passive aggressive.

From my experience in scans, usually the group who wants to pick up a series asks for the permission of the original group to continue on. If there's no response or activity from the group, then I'd say that's a green light, but Zephyr has been active within the past month.

Again, Zephyr is still translating Foxes Always Lie when l1v is caught up with it.

Both Zephyr and l1v claimed the series at the same time 3 months ago (August 22nd 2024), so it's pretty fair for them both to be translating. That scenario would be a "competition," not sniping.

As for this series, l1v did not start on the first chapter; they simply just took over on Chapter 17. Additionally, I don't believe Zephyr has ever sniped/taken over a series where a Scanlation group was in the middle of working on it. I would sympathise a little more if it were Scylla who had "sniped" this series, as they also started from Chapter 1 two years ago.

If you actually look with your own eyes you'll see l1v does not do that.

I apologize, that was a misconception on my end. It appears this series is the first time they have done something of the sort.
Just to be clear, I am defending neither party. Just chipping in my two cents as a Scanlator.

L1v gets harassed and insulted by these people all the time and Zephyr and Korra can't just hold series hostage and act like typesetting/poor proofreading is the issue.

It really is the issue if you like reading high-quality work though. L1v isn't getting "harassed" by anyone, that's something you made up on your own by stepping in and defending them on everything. Zephyr/Luna & Kora are here spitting facts and defending themselves.
