this chapter just kinda reenforcing for me that there isnt really a spot for kuro, as much as I like her, itsumi and rin are just much deeply connected than anyone else
idk if that was the intent of this chapter but imo thats how it came off as

that was itsumi bringing up kurohimes excitement for the throuple as a reason why she wouldn't dump rin.

"it's too late to say anything now" meant that if itsumi dumped rin then kurohime would be disappointed since she was so excited to date them both.

Between itsumi having feelings for both rin and kuro, kuro's excitement and rin wanting to invite kuro on a date it sounds like there's plenty of room for kuro tbh

Probably just trying a bit harder to not get into kissing or touching girls but remaining otherwise "flirty", if the last few chapters have been any indication

She hasn't gotten all that handsy, and even actively pushed back the bully that started falling for her (if admittedly in a somewhat half-hearted way) just by having Rin in her life. Now with Kurohime, and a more clear idea of the expectations one (and after Kurohime also talks with her, both) of her partners has of their relationship, she has more of a reason to not get THAT close with other girls.

Ruruka probably will still get some touching right tho, because of course the "sex pest" friend would get those regardless of funny corporal punishment given afterwards.

I was all in on the president in the beginning of this manga, but Rin has really become my GOAT. This was such an excellent chapter. The writing in this manga is amazing for where it started.

Also, they kinda didn't really finish addressing the Yanagi of it all. Shenanigans are still bound to happen, but either way, we officially poly now, baby!

It's been nice to see Rin mellowing out some and trying to meet Toudou half way instead of always trying to browbeat her into submission like in her early appearances...but I still have trouble actually liking her. I get her narrative value as a check on the story going full casual harem and forcing Toudou to consider more serious aspects of romance. But I think a big theme of this series, along with the importance of communication, is the validity of non-standard relationships, and Rin's always kind of been a line in the sand regarding that. I was so excited when the polycule plan was accepted because I thought she'd start questioning her narrow view of relationships, but it seems like she's going to continue being like, "Exactly this far and no further," which runs counter to a lot of what makes this manga so interesting and unique.

And, attempt at actual analysis aside, more chaos is more fun. Welcome back, Arare, fuck em up.

I still do not really like the poly route, and this chapter just kind of reinforced that. Itsumi goes on about how she of course would have rejected the third girl no matter what cause she loves Rin, which makes me question where the third girl is in it, since she just kind of feels stappled onto a very strong committed relationship. It's almost enough to make me drop the series tbh.

Additionally, I think Rin is far and away the standout character from the manga. To me, she has the best most emotionally impactful chapters and I hate to see her developed relationship with Itsumi pushed to the side because they feel bad and it seems quite of character for Rin to entertain the idea of a throuple.

Given Rin’s reaction to her in this chapter and Kurohime’s reaction to her being in Itsumi’s group in the last chapter, I would say the odds of her getting in the polycule are staggeringly low. At least she’s got Vice Prez to fall back on.
