It seems Mochi keeps developing side couples. I really wonder if ToudouxRin is the endgame.

I think the side couples are great for the story, Mochi Au Lait always has such a talent for characters, going right back to the Kagaya Inn.

One of the problems that can kill a long running romance series is failing to transition gracefully from focusing fully on the main couple to filling out their side characters, it's why Citrus has a really great opening but just runs out of interesting material about halfway through, it never gets over its main couple and it never gives its side characters their own arcs

Mochi Au Lait giving a character like Nekawa such a full arc in the middle of all this action is the sign of a healthy series, with lots more adventures to come!

The dodge ball arc turned out better than I thought it would. It’s interesting seeing Mochi go all in on these big shonen style action arcs, and they pull it off pretty well. It’s also nice seeing all the love for the side and even background characters. The attention to the side characters and their relationships is something Mochi has always put effort into in their stories and they’re especially good at doing it without taking away the spotlight and energy from the main character.

With this second action-packed arc coming to a close, I’m really starting to wonder if an anime adaption is planned for this story.

On a side note, it’s sad to hear that Black Rose is moving on. They did such an awesome job with their translations, and you knew they loved the story. I hope everything is ok with them. Super thanks to the new translator for taking the initiative to work on these chapters. They did a fantastic job and I hope they will continue.
