That's an excellent question. He's a great guy. I'd rather see her with Yuri or Asuka or both, but he would be a great representative of his team.

@Gustbk of course, they were ignoring her because Kuroki tends to run off to Asuka whenever she has the chance even when she's having a good time with Yuri and Nemo... so is part Jealousy and part "come on Kuro, control yourself geez"

I'm not sure they were ignoring her... I feel that it's more like they're establishing their own little unwitting flirtation comedy duo and Tomoko senses that she's not required for interactions in between them anymore.

Hina and Yuri are so flipping CUTE together, with Hina swooping in to get Yuri's attention and response and Yuri fleeing to noncommital half-responses.

I would say it is a bit of a stretch to say he has a crush on Tomoko, but it is true that the author likes to transform bg characters into the real thing so he may become more relevant in the future.

People say that Watamote changed, but not so much, it can still be very awkward.
For example, the way Yuri tries to be close to Tomoko and is forced to watch Tomoko giving all her attention to Asuka. And it's not forced, that bit about the bug was a interesting detail, it's something that works to make the two closer. Meanwhile... Tomoko get's uncomfortable to approach Yuri and Nemo while the two are interacting because the two get along well, more naturally than Yuri with Tomoko apparently despite what Yuri wishes.

This such an interesting development, IMO.
Nemo becoming closer to Yuri and Yuri closer with Nemo than she wants to be with Tomoko, and Tomoko ending closer to the class hottie that genuinely likes her.
