Great chapter. Even the quick "recovery" after being helped by the girl. Haruka Is a man in his 40's, even living a peaceful live, someone at their 40's has enough life experience to "be at peace" with hard decisions.

It is what It is

By robbing and murdering other people desperately trying to survive. What part of this is so hard to get?
If your baby is going to die unless you steal from others in your situation, are you going to say "but morals are more important!" and let your child die? A lot of time people turned to banditry in this kind of situation.

The bit about switching the title back and forth between JP and EN reminded me of a planned feature where you could just set your preferred title language, and that's what you'd see.
Wonder how far down the priority list that one is.

I thought it was pretty clear that Haruka killed them in the first place because she knew the risk of them attacking them again was too high. She made the judgement that the lives of her friends are more important than the lives of the bandits trying to kill them and executed on that decision. Reviving them would have been a pretty major lapse in character that would directly oppose the reasoning for killing them in the first place. Additionally, as Haruka knows, just because you scold someone doesn't mean they will listen. Let alone bandits, I've worked in a position that could be summarized as a lifeguard for climbers for almost 3 years now and I can't tell you how many times I have talked to some people about their bad habbits that have the potential to get people hurt, yet they still don't change.

That is also not to say if she even is capable of something like that. She is powerful but not omnipotent.
If she were able to revive them, couldn't she then cripple those people, make them paraplegic or something? Or blind them? There are other ways of getting rid of someone that may want revenge against you other than killing them. I dunno, I don't like the idea of Haruka killings. Feels like the weight of that world was greater than his values. Which was real in his past life, but I felt him being so overwhelmingly strong in this reincarnation was a liberation of that.

hilarious that it's what, five years after the site update?

and you still have to beg Mangadex not to fuck with the English titles

I ended up installing a browser addon "Word Replacer Max" just so my feed isn't filled with useless gibberish
We also don’t have in-site comments and the site is a ghost town because there was a big attack on the site
Mangadex is unfortunately quite clearly on it’s way out on my opinion, and people really only stick around because the last alternative got stabbed

Damn, girl is a real utilizatron. Doesn't care what the fuel for the fire is from, just that there is a fire and thus, they can use it to cook. Ruthless lmao, not sure i want to cook on it based on the smell alone and the unclean fire byproducts in itself.

I thought this was already the case as I don’t think I have ever seen English titles. Maybe because I set my original language filter to Japanese?

During the great depression my grandfather had to steal food to feed his family, so I get it.

The way I recall it being explained, it'd be a separate setting entirely. Also going by the explanation on the settings page, "original language filter" sounds like it should just hide works that were originally published in any of the languages not included in said filter.

My biggest regret was letting a drunk driver off and thinking he learned his lesson.... I later found out he had 3 DUI and is sitting in prison for a life, but still got out in just 2 years on "good behavior". What a joke.
And now you've learned a lesson instead.

they said they plan on adding an option to choose the default title language, which is why everything is using the default one rn.

as usual th rollout is slow and causing confusion since it's not implemented yet.

it is better since it'll also catter to non-english speaking folk. thry just need yo push that uodate already.
they announced this like five years ago or something. it was back before site went down and they had to redo everything
