Montana's hair has always been green in the novel as well.

I kinda get it of how both character design is fairly similar, hell when I first saw noct I thought his hair was green

Found what I was thinking of. Bottom of chapter 307 of the web novel. Wasn't hair color, so that was my mind playing tricks on me.

Spoiler: Minor foreshadowing setup that may result in nothing

For some reason, comparing their heights being about the same, so that they may be related since short beastkin are rare, I somehow remembered it as having the same hair color.

Despite the fact that they described Noct as being very young looking in the LN in my head I still pictured him as an old sage with a bushy beard so this was quite the whiplash

I've been always imagining him as looking more reptilian in the face, not just having the tail and horns.

Hell yeah, always a blessing to see more genderbend fan drawings in a fic where people get genderbent, that's the peak inception right there!

Also Noct! Gods they do him so well here. He's such an old man gremlin in the novel that seeing him be a pretty boy now too is such a jarring blast even thought I know he's supposed to look young. 10/10 this manga has it all

Kind of bothers me how when these japanese protagonists receive immense powers for no reason, their first thought is often "how to make it so that nobody knows" even if it is beneficial powers like the ability to heal that are literally made for helping other people.

"I should not heal people so that they don't know I can do that!", that's fast approaching evil territory.

Well, hoping the dragon boy opens her eyes a bit, I'd hate it if she turned into a selfish creep like that other GB protagonist ("these people dying out from a disease that I can heal coming to ask me for help are terrible, I can't masturbate in peace because of this rabble" - not even kidding, that is a manga).

Then you should pay closer attention because Kudan says in this chapter he often has to rescue Noct after they get kidnapped.

Hiding your special powers to some extent is called wisdom.
