People still just chew on plants with numbing effects for an improvised anesthetic used for toothaches to mutilations. Just chewed plants. Hard to believe a world, magic or not, never discovered anything like it.

I don't know if this is normal or not but if I suspected someone was lying to me about something like that I'd specifically be watching for things like sudden outgoing mail. I'm going to guess that dragon'll either be ambushed or tailed.
