Uh... no? It has a romantic rival appearing during a point where a relationship is still heavily in flux, which is pretty standard romance story fare.

I say don't dig too deeply into it besides using this as a way to tell who's relatively bad and who's relatively good, because once u start to knitpick into the details, it'll be obvious that a novel or a manga adaptation about a romance story like this wouldnt overly explain the politics to the point they make perfect sense.
Plus, before that I would have pointed out how every brown skinned person we seen is depicted like human trash as more of a bad thing.

one of the few yuri stories i follow physically.
really enjoy reading this one, it's a great manga with very good art direction and lovable characters, and feels fresh in spite of the isekai origin.
i fully recommend this.
how do we relationship was the other physical release i followed, and that finally concluded not so long ago.
hopefully they won't drag this one on for too long.

I don't really have much to say man this shit is just good.
I don't feel any sort of boredom reading this, actually insane how my ADHD-ridden ass is able to focus do much on just reading the story and dialogue. It's interesting and entertaining enough.
I also don't have any problems with the characters. None of them are an eyesore and I basically like all of them. The only nitpick I would have is that some characters like Loretta and Pepi imo are heavily underused at the moment, but that can be solved with just more time.
Speaking of the characters, there's plenty of character development. That's one of the biggest reasons why I like all of them. Especially Rae/Rei, that time with Manaria was really good for her to realize that just watching is just simply not going to cut it.
I don't know so much about the comedy part in the "rom-com". I think the most I have laughed is whenever the Cardinal's dual personality goes nuts. Even then, it's kinda just a bit of a chuckle or two. That can just be a preference issue though so it's not really that big of a con.

So can anyone confirm or not if the manga will continue past this arc? I keep hearing mixed things. A while back it was it'll end after this, then it was no it'll keep going, then after the announcement that Magical Reincarnation's manga will end after its current arc (which is sad) that this one will too, ug. So does anyone know for sure? Maybe it was one then the other lol?

I'm in Love with the Villainess had such a great concept and interesting characters. But it kept introducing one infuriating character or plot line, after another. So much so, that I reluctantly had to drop the series in frustration; even though I wanted to know what happened to the characters.
Spoilers below. I'll cover major events leading up to the introduction of the nun character:
It was at that point that I realized that the "Revolution" portion of the series title, didn't just refer to acceptance of yuri. It also referred to acceptance of incest and a Communism. A literal Communist revolution. It was at that point that I dropped the series. Needless to say, I don't agree with Communism. I would be willing to read a story with interesting characters advocating for it; if it was done in a manner that respected opposing viewpoints and presented logical counterarguments. But after the sloppy writing I'd already experienced, I already knew what the author was setting up. Nobility will be presented as cartoonishly evil. And Communism will be presented as purely good. I just can't stand this sort of bad writing. If an author wants to persuade people to their belief system, do a better job of presenting viewpoints you disagree with; and actually address them. I don't trust the author to do so.
Can anyone tell me if the series actually gets better? I'm in favor of yuri. But I'm against incest and Communism. How well, or poorly, does the the story go after the nun character is introduced? Does the writing get better; or does it remain the same sloppiness that I experienced before? The thing that sucks, is I genuinely like Rae and Claire, and I want to see their relationship develop. I just can't stand the politics (not including yuri) that the author tries to promote alongside that.

And after they are caught, the story treats them with sympathy. Attempted murder for the sake of incest! I nearly abandoned the series right then, but other readers assured me it got better.
Then we had the awful too perfect Mary Sue lesbian character, Manaria, that aggressively competed with the main character Rae, and tried to steal Claire away from her. What was so stupid about that whole story arc, was that Claire's character was established as straight and she was repulsed by the idea of love between two women. Which made Rae's attempts to romance her, all the more challenging. All of that was thrown out the window for the character Manaria, who was an obvious lesbian. And somehow, Claire had a crush on Manaria. It was absolutely infuriating because the author threw out all of the work they had done to establish who Claire was, for this new perfect Mary Sue type of character. But other readers assured me that this was the worst storyline in the series, and that it gets much better after this. They lied.
Then we had the guy whose mother was dying of some curable illness. So he becomes a terrorist in order to get the money to buy medicine for her. But he doesn't think he's powerful enough to pull off the job, so he kills himself and becomes undead before he even starts his mission. Which is incredibly stupid. Even if he succeeded, he would have still died after his undead status wore off. So there would be no one to use his money to buy the medicine for his mom. Instead, Claire buys medicine for his mom, after he is defeated and dies. The whole thing was sloppy and poorly written. But this incident was the catalyst for Claire to start reexamining and researching her views on the rights of nobility, commoners, and the living conditions of the classes of society. I couldn't stand that such a poorly written event was the catalyst for a major change in one of the two main characters. But once again, readers assured me that not only was the story about to get much better; but that we were about to meet one of the best characters in the story.
And then the nun was introduced, and people in the comments section were saying this she is the best character in the series. Upon Rae and Claire meeting the nun, she went on a long rant, during which she talked about "seizing the means of production." Everyone in the comments section were creaming themselves with excitement and joy over this character. A character that was directly quoting a phrase from Carl Marx's Communist Manifesto. I'm Hitler for liking yuri, but disliking communism and incest? Are Nazi the only people that are critical of communism? The irony is that I think communism can work quite while on the small scale; but falls apart when attempting a larger scale. So I'm not completely opposed to it.
The reason I made the post you referenced, was to find out if my my fears are unfounded, and the line from the nun about "seizing the means of production" was a throwaway line, that didn't accurately reflect where the story was going. If I'm wrong, I'd be happy to pick the series up again.
