Cuz it's porn. Yuri isn't porn.

And they don't say it's banned altogether. Just "strictly regulated". Which probably means porn of it.

Porn about "she-males" is already bad enough. Imagine people doing porn about your illness.

Could also be two sided that some demanded restrictions on discrimination but the gov took it a step further banning literature in general which we also see today in the US

It doesnt have to be a "disorder" or something that has a patient zero, we can just look at our own world and draw conclusions from it that Sex Changed people were just silenced, prostituted ,and just denied basic human rights. They could have always been around, just now thought media and acceptance more people know what it is.

Seeing as the people suffering from gender dysphoria due to the Change only have the option to go through "official sex realignment" which in itself seems limiting and hindering those who dont have a supportive environment.

They literally refer to it as a Sex Change Disorder in the manga, maybe it will be revealed that that is an anachronistic term, but that’s what I am going by.

I am going out on a limb that if this was just part of this universe since the beginning, then there likely wouldn’t even BE gender roles as we know them. If someone can wake up as a different sex, gender as a concept would be effectively meaningless. Their ideas and entire history would be wildly divergent from ours and it would be impossible to say, “well they’d be bigots and do sex crimes on them”.

The fact that it is seen as something to be treated , even if it’s more or less accepted as a normal diagnosis, implies to me that this is something recent relative to whatever present day is in this universe. What I want to know is the history of it.

you'd think just one signature would be enough versus both unless the 'mother's' opinion matters more with legal issues (are her parents divorced? i don't remember/ too lazy to reread over it) but still you'd think unless it was like "i always wanted a boy" there wouldn't be any issue about it

Maybe I am just a nerd, but I want several volumes of backstory to flesh out a world and society where your sex can spontaneously change overnight.

It seems like has been going on in universe for a relatively long time but not the span of history. Who was patient zero, how do IDs work, what’s dating like when you don’t know who will be what from day to day?
don't remember it being super lore heavy/fleshed out versus focusing on a couple 'cases' but there was that one josei series where men (non trans/not that yaoi omegaverse sub genre) can suddenly become 'pregnant' and dealing with it.

Divorce wouldn't change the requirement for both parents to allow their child to have elective treatment/surgery, that would come down to child custody arrangements. Even if she has no issue with it, they still need to get her to sign off on it.

well considering it ended with their call saying that she was all the way in germany? or whatever you'd think the 'main' parent would be the one who was actually living in the same house with it, tho you'd think there'd be a demand for law change esp since they wanna 'change back'/the condition happens to those 'randomly' as opposed some that secretly/subconsciously wanted to be the other gender all along versus regular trans gender changes/hrt and such
(esp in the other story by the same artist where one of the main charas of those self harmed/basically attempted to cut off their own parts too)

Tomboy girl has a scar when she scratched her back, wonder if it will comeback as a character development later on
Im gonna do Jump faith and Guess that is a kidney operation scar. That could mean she donated One of hers to someone... Or she sold It for money.

there's still hope! Hopefully minorin turns back into a girl, otherwise it'd be a huge waste because she's so cute

"original text used neither male nor female pronouns [...] but I used she when a pronoun was needed"
"They" has been used as a single person pronoun since the 14th century, don't let wierd conservatives tell you it's improper or whatever. Sure it can be inconvenient to use the same word for two meanings but until a new word is invented that's just what we have!

In fiction only.
Several forms of intersexuality create people who look like futas. Klinefelter for example, male genitalia and female breast growth. Certain forms of Androgen defiency also cause children to look entirely female with the penis essentially growing during puberty. Not identical to how futas are in fiction, but that body type kind of exists.

I would disagree, it is probably rare enough for it to be ignored by most of the population. The same goes for intersexuality, which is fairly rare and although people are generally aware that they exist, it most people have never met one in their life. Also at least during the 19th and 20th century medicine suppressed their existence, while the church officially recognised them and allowed them to choose their own gender.
I'd assume the change doesn't happen to anyone overnight and is limited to a certain age like childhood or puberty and might be tied to hormone development or however the author wishes to science it into existence.

Strictly speaking in terms of this stories’ universe there are well know celebrities who spontaneously changed sex, and continued their career as the opposite sex. We’ve met like half a dozen people with the disorder in 8 chapters.

If it’s supposed to be rare, it’s not coming through in the writing. Which is fine, it seems less like a trans coming out story and more of a exploration of gender as a concept.
