She acknowledged that she carries some of the fault for Vigor just hiring randomly, because she didn't step up to do anything about it. Likely not doing anything at all throughout his entire downward spiral.
Regardless, she implies that she needs to do better, to do right by those three girls who remain with nowhere else to go.
She now doesn't do anything knowing her employer is planning to usurp the crown.
This woman is a massive, spineless hypocrite. Using her terrible past as a catch-all for her horrible ideology of just keeping her head down as long as she's well off. She blames the protagonist for not returning to the guild, only because she wanted him to take the burden of responsibility- assumedly.
I hope, at the very least, they give her a redemption arc that requires her to leave indefinitely to "find herself". That, or for her to find redemption in her lifelong punishment for aiding a traitor to the crown.
