Go to wikipedia and take a look at the best selling games per year. The answer is most people buy 3A games at release.genuinely who's still been buying 3A games at release for the past 5 years ? apart from Elden Eing, I can't think of any example of a 3A game being worth it's asking price on release.

Never embrace Asian p2w games.if what the news from Endymion is true we need to stop buying western triple A game for awhile longer only embracing Indy and Asian games
I don't know how they manage to do it but indie companies that were well received in the last decade nowadays do sequels that pale in comparison with their previous titles, basically half-baked remakes that most of the times are released as Early Access for the hypers to spend the money first, just to leave a bad aftertaste and no possibility of refund.Speaking of P2W games, I just saw a recent release from a self proclaimed "Indie AAA developer" that was an extraction royale with NFT/Blockchain. A combination of words that is absolutely vomit inducing.
For the curious, it's Off the Grid by Gunzilla Games.
