This chapter is why I'm supportive of Yuuto even though everything he did was a betrayal to his brother. I think it's not just a crush. I think he intuitively recognised the instability in Akira.

Akira being blamed she isn't like her father both in character and gender still is stuck in her, no wonder she chosen suicide as the only thing keeping her alive was Kai. That was painful to read...

Yuuto saving Akira from the suicide was the right choice, Kai would most likely feel responsible for that after rejection, but Yuuto isn't strong enough mentally to support her and doubtful they will seek professional mental help as they both should.

Also, don't think the confession from Yuuto got through Akira, her backup plan was to even marry him just to be close with Kai, think Yuuto will flip when he sees her room with all the photos of Kai...
