Back for my best new read this (2) week
I read (and watched the anime) Inari, Konkon, Koi Iroha
I had intended to read this when Byakuda no Hanamuko, which was said to be a shared universe, was still being published,
but I only got around to reading it now.
Quite cute, and I liked it.
Some weird jumping and plot holes, but, hey, it's a supernatural romcom, so I didn't mind.

Second, I saw Uchi ga Kingdom's translation popped up.
It's pretty good.
and after reading the 2 available volumes, I will just repeat my comments that I left in chapter 1:
it is tagged as comedy here and there,
but no
no no no no no
I would NOT qualify this as comedy at all

Lastly, Houkago Fantasy
A "trap" isekai manga.
So far, pretty funny, pretty interesting.
Felt like an old-school isekai.

Best new reads for this week are very interesting.
First is Kohva. Saw it last week.
It's really good, and I'm really liking it.
Somehow, the vibe of the first chapter reminded me of old Disney's Brother Bear, idk why.
But then it's got avatar power? And then Tarzan vibe with the little girl(?)
It's all over the place, but it is really intriguing.

Second is Limbo.
I saw this in a bookstore, and it got me curious.
I found out that it's a Spanish manga. I was like, wow, that's rare, okay.
Turns out, here on MD, both are translated by the same translator. Didn't know that.
Since I filter the Original Language only to Japanese, Korean, and French.
so Spanish manga doesn't show up on my Latest.

And then I found out that both are featured in Hobby Japan article together, and it says that Kohva is also a Spanish manga.
I was like wait, what? Oh, okay, that's awesome.
Think I need to turn on the filter for Spanish now.

This week I read Choukadou Girl, and I really liked it.
I can't say that the story itself is like amazing, arguably pretty dumb,
it gets a bit weird in the middle of the second series, and the ending is quite an asspull,
but I thoroughly enjoyed it.
I don't know, I mean, I very much liked Re:creators and Angelic Layer, so this kinda reminded me of those.
I also really liked the anime.
It is low rated everywhere, I guess mostly because it's a short anime, but I thought it did the best it could.
Cute opening song too.

For the new stuff, I read Aoki Balkanalia.
I liked the first 4 chapters, which reminded me of Hoshifuru Nina,
but then the latest chapter was a bit of deux ex-machina convenience for my liking.
It's still good, just barely.

Other than that, I guess Kimi no Sei yuri rental girlfriend.
Without spoilers, all I can say when I read it was "yep, saw that coming".
Still curious about where the story is going, though.

This week, my best new read is this one-shot Kao.
Can't say anything more than that, else it'll be spoiler.
Check it out, it's just a one-shot.
And I really liked the story precisely because it ended as a one-shot.
I don't think it would survive long if it were stretched any further.

Next, I read this old-school, dumb-fun romcom Chou yo Hana yo.
The plot is really stupid, but it gave me a good chuckle throughout.
Sad part is, it also made me feel really old.
Because I showed it to my friend, and he said 2006 is not old-school.
And I was like 2006 was 2 decades ago, you dumbass.

Lastly, it's Itsuwari no Kenta.
After the Putin Isekai, the mangaka came up with this dumb fantasy.
It looks like a really trashy, not gonna deny that.
But it made me really curious just how absurd the story will get.

Another week full of new romance manga.
I really need to browse more Shonen action and fantasy manga.

As for this week, I thoroughly enjoyed reading Oi!! Obasan
It's a gag romance manga, not just romcom, no, a gag manga.
Had a good laugh.

The first chapter of Lunolita really intrigued me.
2nd chapter not so much, but I'm still interested.
Looks like crossdressing yuri bait, idk.

Lastly, it's Namaiki Sugiru yo, Chigaya-kun
Standard cheeky kouhai romance.
I find it cute.

Not one that can be directly read on this site.
Great.
