Very late reply, but if you're referring to the song WELL.
I first heard the song through my Pandora playlist Sleesong by Secret Garden earthsongs radio. I love the Celtic Women version of the song, though I later found out it was made famous by Simon and Garfunkel.
I became drawn to the folky whimsical tune to it, but later after years of listening to it I actually started paying attention to the lyrics and I thought it was amusing hearing two lovers set unrealistic tasks to one another in order to be their significant other.

If you're not talking about the song.....I'm sorry o-o

Oh wow I would have never imagine an anime adapting folk/indie music! Is the anime any good??
So have you also listen to Secret Garden!??! One of my favorite songs in the album is Lotus.
Also another thing about Scarborough Fair is when I was a clerk in high school and this guy ended just buying rosemary, sage, thyme, parsley and cilantro and so I began to sing the song. I look up and he's just staring at me so I made a face (⊙_☉) he laughs and I excuse myself. He was just surprise I would know the song.
I guess people underestimate the popularity of this song, seeing how its even added to anime! @Leonhart93

@amairani yes i am talking about the music.

Its really a beautiful song, and even the lyrics itself have a deep meaning behind it.

I am just wondering, would someone willingly complete the task, even thou its literally impossible, for the true love of her.

-Parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme.
Parsley as Comfort
Sage as Strength
Rosemary as Love
Thyme as Courage

I've yet to feel a romantic love so strong be willing to go to heaven and hell to keep someone next to me. However I don't doubt there's people out there willing to do just about anything just to keep the girl/man.
Also I know people will put just about any excuse to rid themselves from someone, like the guy setting all these unrealistic tasks. For example I have a friend that went as far as pretending to be gay and had our gay friend date him just to have this one girl stop bugging him.

In short people will go far when love is involve.¯\_(ツ)_/¯ @pandascepter

@Amairani Secret Garden - Lotus was in my to listen list and it would have taken a long time until I would have gotten there, so thanks for moving it up on the priority list 😁
Mine would be "Nocturne" I think, and also "You raise me up".
Speaking of Secret Garden songs to be adapted into anime, "You raise me up" was used in Romeo x Juliet and has both English and Japanese versions:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uhAWM47hONk and it is very good. Crazy how Secret Garden are not very popular these days but people take a lot of inspiration from their music.

Btw "Shuumatsu Nani Shitemasu ka?..." is a very good anime and you will like it pretty much no matter what tastes in anime you have, unless maybe you hate romance or something 😂

Noooo, I remember watching Romeo x Juliet and even though I loved the ending it was so sad! Also I know of both those songs, and can't believe You raise me up came out in it, I didn't recognize it. Though I think I watched it in my middle school years and I didn't listen to Secret Garden till high school.
If I'm being honest though I like Josh Groban version a tad more than the one on Secret Garden.
Sorry for dragging the conversation, just not a lot of people listen to this type of music and I got ahead of myself hahah. @Leonhart93

@Amairani No problem, hehe. It's the same for me, it's hard to find other people with actually defined taste in music. I think you should rewatch Romeo x Juliet, I watched it recently and although I was prepared for it to be really sad it was actually much better compared to the tragedy the original piece was. The anime had a lot more respect for them, to say so. For here it's not a misunderstanding that gets them killed, it's just that they don't mind dying for each-other 🙂
