It may be worth discussing how "proud female knight gets sexually assaulted" became a cultural meme in Japanese porn and what that says about Japanese culture's issues with sex.

It's just based on the perversion of JRPG stuff. Even the eroge all the way back in the 90's depicting this trope was still subverting medieval fantasy JRPG tropes. Often, these niche stuff has to rely on shock value to sell. Vanilla stuff, even when they did sell, go into the pile of obscurity as they don't usually stand the test of time.

Yeah that's why I said it was weird, however waking up to some weird ass fever dream of a situation would make most people believe it isn't reality. The fact that he believed it was a dream doesn't mean he is some horrible molester in his normal day to day. He action of copping a feel in what he believed was a dream may make him a pervert but it doesn't not make him irredeemable scum of the earth that people are claiming the story is unreadable because of. Especially when you read just a bit further in the story and he behaves fairly normal.

I'd kill people in my dreams. I had dreams where I fell from high places, and dreams where I committed genocide or ripped a person's heart out. I also had dreams where I was looking for rental property (for some reason) and had friends. Dreams are completely chaotic and impossible to manage.
