I feel bad for Jeanette, but not *that* much. Yes, I get it... she just wants to have a family, be loved, and all that stuff. But so far, I don't think her intention has ever alligned with Athy's in a significant way. Her only goal seems to be "reunite with my family and live happily ever after, period". Yet, when Claude lost his memory, she didn't even have the initiative to get Athy back together with him. She's too passive. She essentially did nothing to improve Athy's standing in front of her father. That made me assume that she's just too selfish to realize this. Not to mention the fact that she's extremely gullible (one of the traits I despise the most in every fictional character), and that her ignorance could possibly harm anyone around her.
So yeah, while I feel bad, I don't really think I can sympathize that much.
