Why wont the pages load [Intermittent outages from extremely high traffic]

Idk if it's cause if the recent maintenance check but for some reason pages won't load now. It worked fine previous. Im using chrome but i tried opera too and it doesn't work there either

Like others have said, there seems to be intermittent issues with image loading. it usually doesn't last long, I expect to come back later tonight and it will be resolved but it has been happening for a couple of weeks now.

No idea if there are fixes planned or if this is even on their radar.

We've been having intermittent chapter image loading issues for the last two weeks due to record breaking user count. It hasn't been going on for "6 months", not even close, please stop pulling shit out of your ass.

Noted from the "Investigating" portion that the issue is said to pertain to some regions. Is this still the case to this point? Would using a VPN to connect from, say, Malaysia instead of from my home region of Europe get me around this issue?

The April fools functionality doesn't help either. Lots of people here playing with it, causing massive increase in bandwidth usage.

Oh sweet summer child, it was way worse.

In case you didn't know a lot of basic features, such as search, were disabled for users that didn't have accounts back in the day and the site was still falling over on a weekly (almost daily) basis. Also the traffic the site sees now is exponentially greater than what v3 (the old version of the site) ever saw. To give you some idea v3 at its peak was a top 1000 site globally, today Mangadex is in the top 100 (according to most service that track that kind of thing).

I’ve been using mangadex since Batoto died.

This has been going on 3 weeks now. I would much prefer if you just took down the site until you've taken preventative measures/fixed the issue, this is making me want to not visit anymore. 😭
