I wouldn't be so sure bc Hanako at first loved Sadako the influencer, she just started hating her bc of her witch trauma and since Sadako just kept doubling down actually being a witch before the reveal her hatred just grew, after reveal she's been scared mostly.
I think it's that "Oni" are a subset of witches
I think they're using witch as youkai, bc even the Moon and marina who clearly are (mostly) shapeshifter(marina being a nine-tailed fox)are considered witches
