I hear what you're saying but the mangaka has been very ambiguous about it so far. Maybe the scanlator can shed some more light as to how Tae Wol is gendered in the original Japanese? So the four aren’t evil per se, just doing things to survive. And I wouldn’t say that our MCs aren’t gonna get together: Tae Wol definitely doesn’t reciprocate Hana’s feelings, and her feelings might still be a mixture of comphet and her complete starvation from human affection and connection. That or she’s bi.
And the copium is real here. Time to accept that Tae Wol, whether physically or mentally, is a MAN. Stop denying his gender identity just cos you don’t wanna admit Hana has real attraction to a guy 😤😤😤
I can't really explain it, its a primal thing for me.What is it that makes girls like werewolves so much?
And I could definitely be wrong as well, it just feels like, at the moment, it’s one rug pull too far. The four newbies are surprisingly werewolves AND not enemies AND Tae Wol doesn’t actually love Hana AND they’re actually a girl. Maybe it just feels that way since it’s been so long between updates though.I hear what you're saying but the mangaka has been very ambiguous about it so far. I'm not opposed to a bisexual protagonist (bi gal here 👋) but given the amount of rug pulls we've already had in this series, I wouldn't be surprised if Tae Wol is another one.
Don't see how it's opium whenSo the four aren’t evil per se, just doing things to survive. Yes, they do. I’m one of them. I’m a butch trans woman. What I’m also saying is that bisexual people exist. Trans men exist. Non binary people exist. And the constant speculations about Tae Wol’s gender identity, and constant assertions that they are DEFINITELY a butch woman, feels very much like the desire for erasure of gender diverse people and bisexual women in yuri manga. That’s my problem.Don't see how it's opium when
Sal Jiang literally only makes yuri content. Like butches exist.
I'm too of those things too, a bisexual and nonbinary. I don't see the issue with a creator who's consistently made just f/f continue that. If I wanted m/f I wouldn't be reading yuri.Yes, they do. Tae Wol will probably be a butch woman because that’s one of the biggest tropes in yuri manga. And it’s problematic because it’s seen as a “twist”, a stepping stone on the main character’s journey towards pure lesbianism, and does nothing to actually engage with themes of gender identity, presentation, and sexual identity above the most surface level readings. And I’m a little tired of it. If Hana is attracted to Tae Wol AND think’s that they are a man does that not make her attracted to men? And if she finds out that they are a woman does it change the fact that their actual gender identity didn’t actually matter to her in the first place?
Thank you for clarifying your stance, I think I understand where you are coming from now - but at the same time I think there is still room to read Hana as bi outside of Tae-wol given her introduction was pretty much her being in love with her childhood friend yoshihiro, no? (Also a bi woman here ftr)Yes, they do. I’m one of them. I’m a butch trans woman. What I’m also saying is that bisexual people exist. Trans men exist. Non binary people exist.
