I was following updates for this manga for years until they finished on Batoto, and to be honest I'm not sure how I managed to keep pushing through instead of just dropping it from frustration. It has its good moments of course, but the guy tends to be really demeaning and selfish. Sure, it's the classic cold, intelligent yet secretly sincere boyfriend, but that's usually a really tricky balancing act that unfortunately, this series doesn't always pull off. Instead he just comes off as ungrateful and a dick, and since he can't communicate like a mature person he supposedly is, there's lots of unnecessary drama. Hopefully you like that sort of thing.

As for the MC, she's your typical dumb but good-hearted girl who makes stupid decisions and stays with the guy because she understands him. A lot of times I just kinda feel sorry for her.

The best thing about this is the ending; the MC actually finds a goal to pursue that's cool and unique, which was unexpected. Usually they just get married or become a teacher or something without much thought because that's the default for Shoujo manga, so it was refreshing to be able to see her as a more realistic character.

I usually hate the asshole love interest trope but I've read this series three times and I'm just really fond of it. Maybe because he actually apologizes when he goes too far and there were even one or two times where she called him out. Their "happily ever after" feels earned.

Also the little things like with the hair styles/lengths changing - it's nice to see those little details.

One of the better shoujos out there. Doesn’t stick with the original premise for too long and get right into the romance. The supporting characters weren’t immediately forgotten and thrown away and are actually supporting. The male lead is annoying and accounts for 80% of the drama - though it is nice that he apologizes afterwards, so prepare for an emotional rollercoaster. It is nice that there are multiple girls after him even after dating Erika, it’s new somewhat. The female lead fights for her romance, sometimes you will wish that she deserved better, but her and her friends development through the manga, as well as her life is something pleasant to look at.

The art is pretty damn good for a shoujo manga, the characters’ design change throughout the manga. The useless drama caused by the male lead asides, the couple’s fighting, reconciling and development feels real and drags you along with it. Overall, it has its flaws, but despite everything, it’s good.

Slogged through this nonsense up until the end. Kyouya is just 500% a garbage person. Why Erika likes him when he treats her like shit is beyond me. He constantly hurts her feelings and honestly were he real I would love to sock him one. You could make curtains out of all the red flags he puts out there.

The only redeemable characters are the side characters. Sanda is amazing, so is Takeru.

If you like this masochistic garbage this manga is right up your alley. 4/10

Yeah, I could never keep up with this one even before it got an anime. I don't see what she sees in him, either. He's just a huge jerk and selfish, but she just keeps going with it instead of just admitting that he's terrible and ending things with him. This one is a typical "bastard boyfriend (there's an entire trope on this YIKES)" shoujo type of manga.

...these types are actually pretty common, sadly - see Black Bird, then the one manga where a rich guy finds a poor girl, love triangle guy ends up being a yandere, etc etc. It does sucks that it's common, really. Unfortunately, the bane of existence for the very very rare good shoujo manga out there. What makes me comically cry on the inside is the rating for this LOL. I'd say if more sensible people even attempted reading this, it'd be at around 6 stars instead of 8, my gosh.;;;

I kind of hate it this is far from reality also this wont happen in real life I kinda prefer Dear Sa chan than this atleast it makes sense unlike this one The girl was so dumb if I were her ill dump him immediately plus he guy has a character development but it needs more improvement and this story should get a sad ending and ends up breaking up with him with that guy's attitude and it would be better if it has drama on it because I dont feel any emotions or feelings it makes me bored honestly tahts why I just read the ending immediately after watching the anime plus Its too fast they are still too young to live together live together if you are already rich or have enough money for the both of you, finances etc.... Also i reccomend to read Shimotsuki-sensei no Amakunai Renai Kouza its a good manga. AND i THINK THE AUTHOR IS JUST BEING SARCASTIC ABOUT THIS MAKING IT AS A HAPPY ENDING BUT IN REALITY IT HAS DARK MEANING ON IT HAHAHAHa

overall it was a good manga. the male lead seems selfish and mean, but overall he is a good character and also reflects on his mistakes. the heroine is kind and naive which might be annoying sometimes so if you dislike these traits then yea you‘ll get MAD at some arcs. but still it reminded me more of a slice of life manga. also the friend group is nice lol.

some arcs were really annoying and just unnecessary imo but the end was worth it, everything was answered and i‘m satisfied with end.. story 7/10⭐️

art is good though i didn‘t like how the side profiles & the ML looked (idk not as handsome as they all said) but maybe my standards are a lil high >_< and personals preference i guess? the girls are cute & the backgrounds are neat.. art 8/10 ⭐️

i recommend this to everyone who likes a happy cute ending lol (and not one which is cut) and can handle some dumb fights.. but well it‘s fine by me

AH ALSO the interaction between the FL & ML are mainly funny and cute to watch,, so there are also uwu hehe moments!! since he tends to tease her which is so cute in relationships (to me xD)

Maybe the story wasn't really my taste. But seeing them married with a kid and a good happy ending was really a good change of pace from all the halfassed ending in romance manga. Really glad to see an actual end and not the classical "maybe they started dating, maybe not, well duh "
