Feels like whoever's in charge of this manga has read all of the source material, but doesn't know how to tell the story to someone who hasn't.

Or it's like putting together an Ikea chair with half of the instructions missing. I dunno.

basically we left him almost dead in ch32; ch33 was a "meanwhile" moment; in ch34 he was up and good like nothing happened and we don't know how, we came to know a girl named Hana (that we never saw) and she left (or run away...idk this also wasn't showed) and left them on the beach....
Now ch35 begins with them having already made contact with the pirates.....like, when author? Don't skip on actual important events, damn it all...
If this was a weekly manga, i bet we'd still have difficulties in understanding the story

The pacing is all over the place, but if you reread the previous 2-3 chapters before any new one the story makes sense and there aren't really any plot holes, which already is better than a lot of manga. It is adapted from a novel, so I guess the mangaka is just including the most crucial parts without caring much for the in-betweens. And I do love Mikoshiba's no bullshit policy.
