So, I really like this manga but part of me feels like the story is too action-packed? Like we go from one problem to the other and seems no one can be chill for like 5 min. If he kills the dude he will need to move again and just feel the next place will have stuff like this happen again. Just not sure...
yeah feels like we've seen this before, they need to switch things up

Shouldn't be poisoned needle... He threw it with his bare hands. If it was poisoned, he'd be too

Honestly, I've really started enjoying this. It's nice seeing this kind of art style not look like total dogshit, and seeing Yajin grow is fun.
A lot of the credit goes to the mangaka adapting the story, it's based on an active webnovel.

Just imagine how it might have looked if the task of drawing it had been given to your run-of-the-mill isekai mangaka.. /shudder

The next chapter already published? Wow. Thanks!

I love the thugs which Gary mobilized: except for one nobody move ...
... especially after the first dumb thug got killed by Gary himself. Now every other thug must think very hard if they have to move at all and possibly be crushed between the two monsters OR to stay at the side lines and possibly(!) stay alive. 😅

Gary made a mistake when he slashed his own lackey. Being ruthless is only good when it lets you seize the win. By murdering one of his own so willingly, he made everyone hang back out of concern for their own safety instead of helping him. This is pretty good writing: it gives a good reason for why Yajin isn't quickly mobbed and killed, creating a stage for a one-on-one fight.

I think it's kind of intentional, to show us the readers just how frantic his life is after getting isekai'd. This world is sh*tty, and he's got to deal with it.

Bet Gary just got stabbed in the back. Probably the dude who told Yajin about the plot was looking for an excuse to take over and Gary killing one of his mooks was a perfect opening.

so I've been proven wrong, OK....

is ranged attack non-existent in this city or anyhting? if this Gary chief intend to make his authority known by dealing with Yajin in close quarter himself, he already undermined that by letting Yajin go after "peacefully resolved" the matter few chapter back (Paul-Yajin duel). if a ruler want to strengthen their grip, going against their own rules is one of the best way to weaken it instead. if Yajin is too much of an eyesore to be left alive, then use assassinations (let no one know your face) or RANGED attack.

"hey, this guy is good in melee fights! let's fight him hand-to-hand/melee!". SERIOUSLY!? being cruel is ok, being cruelly dumb isn't.
