I think she realized she screwed up by having that other guy pick her up when she couldn’t. She probably knew that Takaya still liked her but didn’t know Akane was serious with her bf. Based on past chapters her sister has been overwhelmed with their mother so she probably wasn’t aware of what was happening in Akane’s life. Her sister was probably the one that told people she broke up with her bf but that was her previous relationship before Yamada.Sister shoo'ed the other guy off after seeing Akane all over her bf on the phone. I wish more manga characters have that much insight.
Just healthy drama as alwaysit seems we arent going much into the drama... i hope?
Her stepping up there made me SO happy. Someone who can read the room just shutting that DOWN was satisfying…I think your prayers are likely to go unanswered, though, with mom (most likely) on board, sis running not-very-subtle interference, Momo, and the rest of the FOS crew, I think a frustrated jealousy interlude is more accurate than full blown drama. Though, maybe we'll be surprised and Takaya will be adult, accepting and supportive... Objectively their gossipy friends pushed the ship more than he has.
Childhood friend never win anyway.
And that is why the childhood friend "never" wins. It's almost always a case of too little, too late.No. Tayaka cockblocked himself. He was on the side lines waiting when he could have put himself in the game long ago ... he has nobody to blame but himself. They say 'you snooze you lose' but homeboy was faking sleep and it bit him in the ass.
I was extremely confused when they were saying he'd see her off. I thought, "is she going somewhere other than home??"I think it's supposed to be "pick you up"
Rather than "see you off" on page 8
Actually, that trope isn't true. Childhood friends win a lot more than you think. And that is why the childhood friend "never" wins. It's almost always a case of too little, too late.
It's also because most of the time it's a character added because it's an archetype that "has to be there", whether it suits the plot, and as such is also often used as an additional source of conflict people don't usually want.
Yeah, that's why I put "never" in quotation marks. It's kinda like back when people said the tsundere never wins. Same thing. People have selective memory. But also, more characters lose than win, so any character type would lose more often than they win just by statistical probability.Actually, that trope isn't true. Childhood friends win a lot more than you think.
