The must grow at a different rate in that world. With the difference between age 7 and age 10 her hair had to have grown nearly a foot per year. It our world it averages about 6 inches per year. This is one reason bullies will fuck with a girl's long hair.

This story would make much more sense if their looks and actions matched their ages.
Make it coming of age party at 15. Make him her attendant at 13. Sure, they can meet at 7, but make them act like normal 7 year olds (like idk bright kid becoming a friend with a gloomy girl, to build childhood friends memories to use as a basis for romance - LATER ON).
7 yo kid besting any adult in combat is simply impossible. 10 yo kid being able to actually plan a huge party is equally impossible. Adults relying on a 10 yo kid is just stupid.

I just hope we'll quickly get a timeskip like 5-7 years into the future (and not just because i want MC to stop wearing shota shorts).

I’m just gonna assume the adults went “that’s right hunny, you’re gonna oversee the WHOLE party” and then did the ACTUAL organizing for the child.
