Small translation note is in order!
On page 15, when Anjou talks to the cat, she calls her a "sea-gurl". This is a bit of wordplay on the part of Katou-sensei, as seagull in japanese is ウミネコ, which is read as "umineko", and quite literally the same as "ocean-cat". There was really no straigthforward way of translating that pun to make much sense in English, hence we tried staying somewhat close to the original, and to explain Seto's confusion here instead.
