He talked! Communication in a relationship! The golden snitch of romance manga, yet... it can be barely considered that. He mumbled a few things and it ended up with Anjou having to, again, pick up the slack in the relationship.

I like that we have at least some character development. But this is still seriously one sided.

Cut the guy some slack, he's gone from a nervous wreck without an ounce of self-esteem unable to say two words to Anjou without fumbling to a slightly less nervous and insecure teen who got a veritable hottie of a girlfriend and is willing to publicly defend her in, what, less than a year in-universe (even if he still fumbles his 5th and 6th consecutive words to her)?

He's already an oddity in rom-com already, is normal to have aspects which still need some polishing from the more self-confident Anjou.
