Not really. I can think of two immensely popular romcoms that have shown what happens after the confession.
Tsuredure Children and Horimiya (currently airing its first anime season btw).
Horimiya focused on other relationships, but still shows the MMC and FMC relationship from time to time, and I can clearly see that this manga is slowly trying to do the same with their supporting characters.


On another subject, for people who don't understand why there's a bit of complaining about the release schedule of the translation, the raw release are currently on chapter 90.
