Yes, if your main couple have achieved every romantic milestone and are fully developed characters, sure, but the main couple here are no different than before they got together. The MC is still a shy coward, their relationship is still at the point you'd expect a couple to be in their first week irl, there's 0 progress and 0 character progression.
