Reminded of watching some local open-mic nights, where someone goes up because their co-worker or friend says "you're great at comedy" until they actually try to put together a tight five, and then it all falls apart. I've seen a couple people heave some hack jokes in desperation and bomb so hard that the otherwise uncaring audience booed them off the stage. Never seen anyone bomb so hard they detonate a literal bomb ending all life on Earth though.
