Stuco Prez is a genius for getting the ball rolling. I can't wait to see Hanako's campaign strategy to make the MC lose.

No kidding, can you imagine if the MC's likeness ratio reverted back to chapter one because a shitty campaign run that made him unlikeable? Now that would be depressing to see his progress reverted.

I find it almost impossible to give half a shit about this arc when not even the protagonist himself cares and 99% of the people involved are just trying to help him get out.

Dude doesn't want to be president. Dude apparently doesn't want a gf either. Which makes me wonder, why does the author waste time with both things instead of just going for a fashion-focused arc so at least we get Saotome actually being invested in the plot for once?

The point here is to drag him kicking and screaming into some actual goddam personal development. His fashion-grind mindset is fine enough for the times it's actually important, but he's convinced himself it should be his ONLY mindset and it's crippling the building of every other important life skill...and it's probably semiintentional on his part, a way to run away from his fears and uncertainties while convincing himself it's all in his best interests. It's a crappy and immature way to deal by not dealing and he needs to grow out of it.
