as much of a snake Takae is, seeing her care that much for Saotome is surprising, looking from where she started out with him. Also shows the readers that her love is genuine after all. Agree with the sentiment of the chapter dropping specifically now tho

I love that despite all her development she is still a snake, like she won literally by being the most corrupt candidate but... is perfectly on character, her development made her a better Takae but she is still Takae instead of suddenly becoming a goodie two shoes
