Basically, she’s against her father, and he sent assassins after his own daughter. The MC saves her, then later kills her father (the Demon King), which lets her take the throne. She’s actually very smart at handling affairs, and some of the nobles supported her. The problem is her dumb brother, who controls the military, starts a rebellion. After that, we get to where things are now

Mc Isekai as the hero.
Kill the demon King.
Get betrayed by human.
Destroy human kingdom.
Run away with a demon queen.

Why do I feel that MC’s mind is like that of a middle schooler more than a war veteran. Muh, I hate the world and everyone, only my beautiful demon queen wife is my ally :shamihuh:

What is this ? A kid ?
um… and repeatedly getting yourself caught up into the conflict of another world’s politics is acting “grown up”? he helped out once, almost paid with his life for it. And yeah, the whole world put a bounty on him after he destroyed the summoner kingdom, which by proxy makes them his enemy.

Agreeing to help someone out, agreeing on bad terms, no rewards(that you need or care for), to someone that put a bounty on your head for living - do you think its a grown up thing to do?

You have a responsibility to your close ones, not to the country. And especially not to the otherworld’s countries that tried to kill you. You are not obligated to be someone’s tool just because “people are dying”.

Valid stance to take, all things considered. To begin with, it's not exactly ethical to kidnap people to be your hero. Even less so to eliminate them once they're no longer convenient for you.

Though I have to say that it feels like we skipped over the interesting part of the story. Rather then potentially get it drip-fed to us in flashbacks as we go, I feel like it would have been much more engaging to have just seen it all happen.
Maybe we start from his expedition into the demon castle, his meeting with her, his victory and return to human lands, the execution attempt and crash-out. And then we skip over him sowing destruction to this point in time.

Bro, I never said that I am against his decisions fyi, I just don't like his monologues. Even some novel reader said that the mangaka made MC seem like a paranoid guy unlike the novel version.

????i just replied to what you were saying
Well, let's make thing simple. I don't find his actions wrong or anything so no need for anyone to think that I want MC to fold to the kingdom or accept the princess's request. I think his action is pretty reasonable ( You can look up, I say nothing that MC should do that ).

I only find his mental monologue kinda cringe, well, too childish for my taste.

Dunno why some people keep making assumptions that I want MC to keep working for the kingdom or accept the princess's request ?

How is it childish? especially given the context of what he went through, like have you seen actual veterans? or or not even that just people whose lives were affected because of a war that really had nothing to do with them, you don't even need a soldier as an example, the kind of PTSD you get from having experienced something annoying and traumatic would fuck up anyone, if anything he was mature for not blowing up every country that had a bounty for his head after what he went through in the kingdom that summoned him, he also showed great maturity for not killing the knight and the princess' knight companions after basically demanding him to work for them
Dunno why some people keep making assumptions that I want MC to keep working for the kingdom or accept the princess's request ?
that's not even what we're saying, people were weirded out that you called his actions childish or immature when all his actions were justified

What you wanted him to accept the execution or destroy/take over the world? This seems like a far more mature choice than either of those lol, to fuck off and enjoy his life instead of serving anyone.
He expects that hero to become the demon king and rule the whole world; he doesn't want his wife to be the daughter of the former demon king or any other romantic relationship.

P/S: I don't think he did anything wrong with destroyed the kingdom that forced him to fight or didn't accept the princess's request. I just find his mental monologues too cringe and childish for my taste here.

Maybe that's how the author monologuing? I mean, I don't think a middle schooler can, and have time to make something like this, when they are locked in with school and extracurriculars. Or the author had a little brother and used him as the model?
