THANKS, SO MANY THANKS the author didnt make the "uh i was in love with him all this time!!!". T H A N K S. this is SO much better and fit with her.

For someone who has a lot of familiar problems (at least it seems), this must've hurt a lot...

I cant see where the author is going now. I thought he was going to finally develop Akira's backstory... but maybe not

I never know the direction this manga is going to take. For a while I thought, towards the end of this rollercoaster we will have our main character doing out with the person they love, friendships will be recovered, and they will be set off to a new adventure.

The picture slowly turned into, maybe they will be the odd couple that makes it out against all odds. I even thought that maybe, Nazuka will be the first one to actually turn human, and she would be able to attend to the zoo during the day (I don't know if you guys remember it, but early on they went to the zoo and Kou realised it was a bad idea, given she doesn't really have an idea of what it looks like during the day, and the fact they might not be able to get that experience ever whilst she is a vampire).

Now I think the ending will be one of the saddest things I will read.
Either Nazuka dies, leaving Kou half broken with Akira coming back to help him out of the slum. Or Kou forgets everyone he was relatively close with (including Nazuna), leaving everything behind... or both of them end up dead and the person narrating this story has been Akira all along.
I dont believe this is the end.. Actually, nothing near. Even if it really feels, we kinda know how author likes to play with the mood/atmosphere, he already did this before. There it is so much to talk about: Nazuna's past, Akira's backstory, the suited vamp daily life, what did really happened with mahiru, Nazuna's and kou relationship, kou's half vampirization...

He is just too good in playing with our feelings.

Yeah, until the previous chapter, Kou wasn't even aware that he was unconsciously seducing some of the girls he was talking with because he didn't understand how love felt-- oh, wait, you're talking about the mangaka.

...who's gonna tell 'im?

I mean, it's not like they will never see each other again. He's still around, they can still visit each other.
The thing is that to her knowledge, he is going to become a vampire. The farewell here is likely a goodbye to the old Kou and also due to the fact that if Kou does become a vampire, he would outlive and will forget everyone he got now, except for maybe his new vampire people. That’s what she is seeing here and it’s fitting that she is like this, to feel like this after witnessing the death of one of them while the other going down the same path and outliving yourself for a farrrrr long time
