This chapter is a reminder that yes, this manga should have a sexual violence tag. :fml:

Hope there’s no more of this later on as
So far, the translated WN that is on hiatus doesn’t have any of these occurrences again.

It was really disturbing. But it should work as a reminder that it IS a medieval society. She was way too relax showing off her abilities and deals. Her being targeted was bound to happen and she went down so easyly as well. Gotta start working on self defense more before trying to teach yet another bunch of kids.

ah yes.. this chapter (of the WN). I remember being really shocked at this. The "ogle the hottie" bits happen so much that it felt like a recurring joke. This scene/event, and the fallout that happens after, felt incredibly jarring.

Honestly, i am impressed the matter is treated with respect and isn't just a quick one off gag. Though at the same time, I am kinda bummed that we can't see Ren-chan continue her journey. We just got out of the blacksmithing hole

Those poison powders are way too convenient. And the dogs didn't even notice when their noses stopped working?
Entire thing was way too convenient just to put her in a bind. They somehow manage to find the ONE thing she has the vulnerability for. And its poison too. Probably the MOST obvious thing you would develope a resistence for in a fantasy world

Not gonna lie, that encounter felt very, very forced.

A poison that has no smell to it, works fine if just randomly scattered and diluted into the wind some far distance away. Oh, it also specifically just incapacitates you, without any fear of an overdose. Oh, and it also, for some reason, doesn't work on the evil dudes. Oh, and there is another odorless poison that disables magic.
And, a completely separate poison, also without any smell, that disabled the wolves' noses.

Things like this tend to cause LotR eagle-sized plot holes down the road.

I'd have bought it if they just poisoned her food or something. But the powders in the wind thing is just too much.

true i was the whole time thinking of ways to counter this and they just went, eeeehh poison.... it would be better if the wolf saved her instead of her friends appearing all of sudden

Pretty much what everyone said.
Too convenient of a weakness, too effective l, too targeted, etc...

But honestly, it makes no sense from a demigod like Ren to have such of a trauma.
Not because the event is minor, bur because she has the capacity to create all the defenses and countermeasures she wants.
She can create trinkets, bracelets, rings, earrings that all are enchanted with a different spell / skill. She now has a reason to become a walking arsenal. What the fuck so you mean "oh no men scary"? Go create noble-phantasms level of weapons and armours to protect yourself, you fucking goof.

They are literally pulling this shit out of their asses.

"Awww, the rescuer is confused why your sword isn't working? I sprinkled some poison on it that makes metal not work.

Such fucking bullshit. I was expecting them to have poisoned her food, but no, that ridiculous shit was airborne?!
