I have an eye for art styles and trust me this is not the same artist. Different style.

The cover is suspiciously similar but the actual manga style is very different.

Dropped on chapter one. Why make the god a fucking furry man. Had potential, but I'm not into that furry shit. :/

Sorry, but that confirms - or refutes - nothing. Kotoyama can or could draw like entirely different person when making a bl doujinshi, and I suspect it's not an ability unique to hers.

That said I vaguely remember Fukuda Shinichi mentioning making some sort of contribution to this volume on twitter, so you might be right if that referred to her drawing the cover.

@nonameanonymous82435 changing art styles on purpose is an entirely different beast from actual different artstyles.

It's like comparing Masakazu Katsura's drastic change from his older works such as DNA2 and Zetman. You can change how you draw your characters but there are telltale signs such as subtle characteristics in the eyes or shading techniques.

But hey, if you find any proof that this was actually Fukuda Shinichi I'll happily swallow my words. But no, I don't think this is the same artist. At all. The way the bodies are drawn are too drastically different in terms of references - at different angles you can see body structures in this manga start to look a bit off sometimes but Fukuda doesn't have that problem.

It could be a former assistant of hers/his, like between the artist of Yamada and the Seven Witches and Hiro Mashima's works

@nonameanonymous82435 Also you'll see artists sometimes simplify their art but you won't find artists that literally start getting all their anatomy wrong or angles different. In Bakuman for example compared to Death Note (same artist) he simplified the art a lot but the anatomy still held up and the essentials were still correct.

This manga literally has a lot of anatomy mistakes and weird inconsistencies at different facial angles. Changing art styles is one thing but are you telling me that Fukuda also somehow managed to unlearn all the stuff he's good at while drawing in a different art style???
