I wonder how long this series will be
Judging by the number of characters present behind the ones that we have seen so far in that illusion scene I would say the author was planning to have this story going for quite some time.

I did a little digging about the series and it turns out that it does have web nobel and light novel. But the sad thing is that WN is on hiatus since 11th of September this year and LN only released a single volume in 2025. Sadly it seems that the interest in this series is not that big and this is the best they could do for now.

Maybe Yona can continue his existence as an ordinary skeletor after his death. That way he truly would die, yet wouldn't cease to exist. Naturally he couldn't keep associating with the normal living world in such a form. The girl in love with him certainly would cry.
The "gods" already talked about changing Yona's destiny

Sure, but if we considering the story from a writing point of view, how extremely central to the plot it is that Yona dies, then making him not die could easily flatten the whole premise, after all is said and done. Of course most of the people who know him would be exceedingly glad if he didn't die young, but it might lead to a Disney ending.

I'm not saying turning into an unliving skeletor would be an elegant solution for the story, though. It might even feel pretty cheap. Possibly even cheaper than not killing him at all.

Maybe they "build" him a new body, and after dying in the cruel carcass he had earlier his soul just changes appartment. The point is, he will not remain dead

could even be a monkeys paw scenerio. sure it extends his "life" but the trade off is he gets to experience death each time, maybe even with diminishing returns too.
