Sorry for digging the post out of the grave . Just reading this for the first time (the manga I mean). Personally I would say no to Rei. Sure she has god-like powers and shit, but if I can't even touch her, plus knowledge I will die while she won't and seeing how she lived since earth was forming to like billions of years - our relationship would be basically a short speck in her life span. I would feel like if we were to be a couple it would give her eons of pain after losing me, that idiotic internal guilt would probably cause a lot of issues or outright a break-up - so out of cowardice and laziness I would simply not even start.
