It's been so long I barely remember, but it's mostly that the demon king was another death mage, so being one lets him fool the fragments, combined with his insanity and frankensteined soul combining fragments of four of the old heroes which lets him resist all mental corruption.

Definitely more than a few mangas that Mangasushi isn't regularly uploading to MD. I think it's fair game until someone in their group explicitly forbids it. But at that point, if they lock down who can upload, then they're obligated to upload regularly to MD or risk being banned.

Could be that he's a Death Mage, just like the Demon King was, or it could be that he just has so much mana, that he can just say "No you," when these fragments try to take him over. Like when you see an adult just put a hand on a little kid's head, to hold them back as they try to attack.
