This was a great depiction of a big battle with so many different types of elements fighting in it. Although it is quite one-sided, but any competent commander would want to have a one-sided battle, holding the upper hand. It didn't feel like there were any ass pull moves in this, either. Van prepared carefully and followed the plan, making sure his troops also follow the plan. That's how it should go. I can't say the same about the enemy.

Sucks to be all of those poor losers. At least we finally got to see the bikini warriors do something cool again; them becoming a tornado of metal and minimal cloth was great.

Must've been an artistic direction. It makes the  human soldiers less human. They're the enemy after all, no sense giving them eyes that show their fear after whole heads and torsos are being mashed and churned up.
