She was severely weakened and on deaths door anyway due to the abuse she was put through during the interrogation so it prob wouldn't take much at that point... on the other hand it seems the 2 girls were set ablaze with a-lot more vitality since they looked like they weren't tortured, just raped, that fucking sux... you have to have a WORSE time to get a better visage in the afterlife >.>

I love our protagonist. Morally gray and absolutely brutal but also absolutely justified in his actions. He does not kill innocents or petty criminals but those whose existence continues to harm those in need and who have no fault. He is not a murderer and everything he does follows some rationale. never gets to meet the girl he saved/loved in the first life.The girl (Narumi) essentially NTR'd him by mistaking the guy who reincarnated in his place (Hirtoto) as the person who saved her and marrying him. The closest they get is that our MC gives their daughter (Mei) a copy of himself with all of his memories to serve as her guardian angel of sorts.

Though this may be to play up the tragedy of the situation.
