Wait, so was everyone but her daughter fine with him cucking the chief?

I know it wasn't actually what was going on but that would be strange...

@Tamerlane By chief you mean Vigaro, the boss lionman? Vigaro himself is probably having sex with most of the women as ghouls don't practice closed relationships/monogamy. This stems from their low birth rates so it's basically required for them to survive.

@Vman
You are forgetting they also sometimes
capture male adventurers and - while not turning them into ghouls - offer to spare their lives in exchange for impregnating their women. Since they seem to have a lot higher pregnancy success rate that way.

He figures out that the issue they have with having children is related to the amount of mana in the area. Its why the ghouls breed much better in a Devil's Nest with fewer miscarries. With too little magic, the fetus is weak. It causes the mother's body to see it as an invader and kill it.
The mc uses his death magic to cause basically 'anti-death' by drawing death away from the fetus so it gets born. Similar to the way he just made the ghoul younger.
He can't do it all himself for every ghoul, after all. So he creates magic tools to supply the unborn child with the mana needed to survive, as well as the death magic needed to keep them alive.
As for the other part.
He finds a 'dead' kingdom. Its in ruins, and filled with undead. The mc gets mistaken as the reincarnation of someone important (the founder, or something). And due to the dead and undead being attracted to him because of his death magic, they end up making him king of the massive city. As the population grows, and the people 'living' there get more powerful, the boundaries expand.
Much later on in the series...
The mc becomes emperor of all of Vida's races in that third of the continent. His fighting force actually sounds like it surpasses the other two empires combined, aside from a very small number of S class adventurers. Which they compare the mc to on several occasions.
And as for the mother...
He creates a body for her of incredibly powerful and rare materials, including a solidified chunk of Vida's blood. She even becomes a new race called a Chaos Elf that has the ability to turn any elves that are willing into her new race.
She's indestructable, unkillable, and regenerates damage in seconds, easily seeable to the naked eye. Magic resist of 10. Physical resist of 10. Status Effect resist of 10. And a skeleton made of the nearly invulnerable metal orichalcum. She also has level 5 Super Rapid Regeneration. It allows her to regrow a severed limb in one or two minutes. If you could ever manage to get through her skin, muscle, and bones.
Afted all that, she was trained in combat by multiple gods.
Have fun even attempting to kill that monster, lol.

@Tamerlane Nah. The Ghouls don't really have relationships in the same way humans do. They don't express the same level of intimacy and exclusivity that human relationships do.

Its almost time for Van to show just how much of a cuck he is. I wished they would have omitted this part from the manga but I guess not. I absolutely despise NTR in all its forms and this terrible fetish has invaded Death Mage.

@Kingkolkappi 'Cucking' or 'cuckolding' first has to establish that both participants have agreed to an exclusive romantic relationship, which does not happen in the context of the story. The Ghouls do not uphold sex as something intimate and personal to the same degree as humans. To them, it's a symbol of adulthood and a method of maintaining the survival of their species. Basdia offering Van to have his child is not seen as a 'romantic gesture' but a 'cultural gesture' based on their 'biological limitations.' She offers up the sex because she believes that Van is a strong individual and these traits would be passed on to their child, allowing that child to not only survive the pregnancy and delivery but also the dangerous environment in which they reside.

Changing partners is an everyday thing for both ghoul males and females. That has been the norm for their race for 100K years. They have no concept of closed relationships; it's pointless to be concerned with things like adultery or NTR when you're with ghouls, nor do they have the leeway to be concerned with such things given their abysmal birthrates, and the fact that most of humanity is out to kill them - thanks to a certain god and his believers. It doesn't help that this doesn't really get explained in the manga, but even novel readers continue to bring up 'NTR' and 'used goods' whenever they reach this segment.

A more relevant concern would be that there will be a gap where we can't enjoy Basdia's abs:

I know people will felt weird, after all they judge ghoul with human perception and custom. Same as human from that world.
