Exactly.
This story falls flat at the very start.
MC doesn't like how people are judged for their stats instead of their worth as a person.
BUT he himself uses his unique power to discover another person personal skill.
Pure hypocrisy, he is using a person trait/skill that he can see as data to judge their worth.
So all his talks are empty and void, it looks more like the start of a cult leader in a magical world.
Taking in people with low stats but excpetional skills and talking them up when they are depressed.
If he meet a adventurer with bad stats and a worthless skill he would drop them even faster than the "bad" team at the start.

I mean he does have a point about how a person's raw abilities shouldn't be judged above their actual expertise. Its like judging an artist based on how many paintings he can make in a day or a Sprinter on how much stamina they have instead of their swiftness and reflexes. Even if he is a hypocrite, he's less of a hypocrite than the others.

I was expecting something like that synergy party manga that each had a bunch of cursed skills that cancelled eachother out... but this guy is just saying to not judge people by their attribute scores.. but by their skill. its like the guy that kicks others out in all the hazure skill XXXX manga!

Well anyone with low stats and a crappy skill is kinda SOL, though im guessing it might turn out everyone has about the same distribution of "points" but that better skills suck up more of that pool

Strange how this chapter has been here for two years and only has 7 comments so far.

Anyways… Holy Monologue, lmao.

I imagine this going forward, unless it was said near the end when she asked what guild he had:

“Who else is in the guild??”
“…Only you.”
“Eh…??”

but he himsels use stats to judge?

Fr tho. Hidden skills are still technically stats, just not the numerical kind, lol.
Ah yes, hypocrisy.

Oooh, good observations all around, also great analogy lol. Yeah, that came across my mind too, though.

“I got kicked out of my party. I heard you help people like me.”
“Yep! Let’s see what I can do…everyone is special in some wa-“
“Mr. Aizen??”
“Sorry, I can’t help you. Please leave.”
“Wha—“
“Get out.”
Maybe not that harsh, but y’know.

Think I’ve heard of those manga you’re talking about lol. Also maybe, but would be a different story if there’re also “level up’s” and stuff too. But it makes sense. Like an SSS Hidden Skill would have someone with single digit stats (Protagonist underdog vibes).

All in all, interesting chapter.
Wonder how it’ll play out. Maybe he can do something about the points, or maybe his hidden skill has layers to it that he hasn’t yet figured out or unlocked. Sounds a bit like BS, but also who knows atp even, lol.
