Okay, I get touching backstories and all, but at this point I feel like it's too much retconning and rethinking compared to where we started. Yeah yeah, the tale grew in the telling etc, the author is making adjustments on the go, but still...

Wow, The author still hasn't stopped shilling Medea. But it makes her more tolerable now, Despite all her edginess. Feel sorry for Psyche, Her Stockholm Syndrome runs too deep. Makes sense for her to lick up to Medea and the Prince after all that happened.

First time I'm reading a series where I'm at a loss as to which character to root for. Not even a single character is redeemable. This world is just too twisted.....A Nanny route would've been nice but she tripped over way too many deathflags, I'll miss her.

What would a happy ending in this series even look like? I can't even imagine. No one's even looking for happiness in the first place. I guess that's the main charm of this series. Loving it for what it is. Twisted people doing twisted stuff to fulfill their twisted desires.. Yeah, It's a nice change of pace.

At this point I won't even be surprised if they retcon'd the Prince into some tragic hero as well. That would be amusing.

dunno what the point of the backstory was, we already know the crown prince is a fuck. it sure is very slow at showing the girls' shattered friendship, could have probably got the point across at twice the current speed.

I didn’t like this chapter but I guess it’s because the crazy is toned down in this one. Everything else was hot but this was like warm water. I guess I was being spoiled too much in the beginning that this felt like a sudden change in pace.

It’s still an important part of their past.

I think the pacing of the story is perfect, I don't get why it wouldn't be? Patience is needed for a great tale. This is more than the flimsy love between a innocent girl and a handsome prince. Obviously the 'flashbacks' are important to be able to grasp the whole picture. Well I do get the feeling of being left at cliffhanger but it is what it is 😩 and the flashbacks are super interesting to read as well!

I knew it was going to be interesting but this story continues to surprise me. That crown prince though, he's been planning things for a long time. In the beginning I was thinking he wanted a pliable partner, one who wouldn't interfere or threaten his power but it definitely looks like more than that. Plus timing of things must be important. If he needed Polly for something still he would keep her alive, but he's trying to kill her. On the other hand, if having her die was the main point, that could have been done any number of ways much earlier. So either Polly has already fulfilled her purpose, or it serves an important role to have her die now. It gets more and more curious.

It's also interesting to see Medea and Polly's backstories and this is a story where their backgrounds actually strongly impact their behaviors and goals. I have to admit I wasn't expecting them to have been friends, but it fits now why their relationship ended up so twisted. After all, Medea didn't seem like the type to hate someone so much for simply holding the position she covets.

I honestly don't know why there are so many complaints. I've just read this story from chapter 1 to now and everything feels connected, no ass pulls or plot holes. Everything makes sense. So I honestly don't know how someone can think the author is making it up as they go along? Are we reading different stories? Or did you guys' imagination run wild between updates and now you're disappointed the story isn't going the way you thought it would?

I hope Medea finds her happiness

When I first read it, I wondered why Medea didn't kill off Psyche
(I mean, she just randomly kills off people she hates)
Reading her backstory and everything makes me realise, she still has a soft spot for Psyche
