I expected the cookies effect to be through some law of the world coming from the fact it was a game, something like "if the main heroine gives someone cookies something happens that makes her more needed in their life".
The fact the scientist team couldn't find anything after the test and the following 4+ months of research reinforced that concept, but MC now is saying she will try to find out the drug that was used through her game knowledge.
That makes me think that she will remember something in the game that had a effect like that and wasn't found because it wasn't conencted to drugs, maybe is not even a ingredient but a item used in the cooking process.
It is incredibly stupid for the plot that the royal family and multiple nobles asked for answers from the baron for 4 months and expected to find ANYTHING from a search after all that time had passed in his mansion , as the idiot got killed but nothing else was found is clear that they feared him talking under pressure, even withotu anything usable as evidence.
4 months, in a medieval setting, and the guy was asked through messengers, anything got burned or carried away long ago.
